The brief
For our Blue Bay duplex, the brief was simple: moody beach house, but not the predictable kind. We wanted depth, contrast and materials that feel as good as they look.
The approach
Layered charcoal laminates sit against warm oak tones, grounding the palette with a sense of weight. Honed stone and terrazzo bring that coastal mineral quality, like weathered rock pools under overcast skies. Then we turned up the heat: rich leather, deep espresso joinery, and dark, organic brass accents that patina beautifully over time. Nothing flat. Nothing flimsy.
